Hi,

I am thinking about either a TD Golf or Furby. Anyone know of any other webistes on both cars, where i can do a bit more unbiast research.

Cheers

Unbiased no, the nature of owners sites I'm afraid.

www.uk-mkivs.net is good though.

Having been driven in a Golf TDi 130, it is lardy compared to the furby ( obvious reason ).

My thoughts are that I can pick up a new Derv VRS for about 12 and mod it.

or pick up a 2 year old golf and mod that instead.

I like the older Golfs, i had an 03 TDI 90 hp i think. they feel really solid.

To be fair, i have not taken a VRS out yet.

I want to get 200 out of it, so was thinking about a chip, exhaust, filter and induction kit.

I also want Climate control rather than air con and Crusie if possible.

Pros

VRS good price new

VRS good price 2nd hand

Golf solid

Golf good rep

Golf easier to mod up to and beyond 200HP (so i have heard)

Cons

VRS New I will invalidate the warranty if I mod it.

VRS No Climate Control

Golf 02 plates are still 10k.

Golf Climate and Cruise are available

I am also unsure as to which route to take as I have an evo 7 at the mo. I know it is a reduction in power, but am worried i will not be impressed by the car i choose and regret selling the Evo.

Any thoughts you guys.

Anyone in the Swindon, Glos, Cheltenham area i could meet up with for a passenger ride.

Cheers

if it is sheer torque you are after ( owning an evo 7  ), I would have thought that neither of these.

The concept of speed in the Furby will feel more than the golf, cos of size.

Have you thought about trying to get a test drive ?

get a furby! 100x beter than the golf! just because of the desirability really and the fact that not many people have one. i very rarely see another vrs round my area.
