Reversing Sensor Volume

Featured Replies

I have just bought my second Roomster ,first one was an 08 Reg 1.9 Diesel model 3 ,I now have a new 1.2 Petrol 105 bhp SE.

I have noticed that the volume of the reversing sensor is a lot quieter than my last Roomster ,is there any way it can be adjusted

to make it louder.(pensioner with dodgy hearing )

Apart from that pulling power of the 1.2 seems to be on par with my old 1.9 diesel ,but alot quieter and smoother, a brilliant engine that has very good pulling power at low revs ,looking forward to getting it past the running in stage

Pretty sure I have seen a volume option in VCDS.

I can confirm that. You need to find someone with the VCDS to help you change the setting.

I thought you could adjust the PDC volume from the stereo, well you can on the Dance I am sure.

Thanks everyone

Going back to the dealer to pick up extras for the car this week, see if they have VCDS at there Caffins workshop Tunbridge Wells

Which radio do you have? I think the swing has volume adjustment somewhere in it's functions. I adjusted the volume the radio drops to when you select reverse.

Just had a fiddle while the wife shopped, I couldn't raise the beep volume, only drop the volume as above. Sorry BB

There's definitely a way on the old Dance radios, but it isn't obvious. I have to check the manual if I need to change it.

I do not think the Swing Radio is the answer to the problem, with the radio off the sensor noise softly emanates from some were

from the rear left side.

Sorry, I checked the manual and you can set the radio volume to reduce when reversing but can't find anything about the bleep volume.

If you find nobody closer, then I am in Folkestone and have VCDS.

VCDS can incidentally do a lot more than what a dealer can.

I would like confirmation that it can be done, and without effecting the Warranty as the car is less than a month old .
