Bit of info for Yeti/superb owners

Featured Replies

went in and brought a couple of new badges front and rear for my mk1 octy, anyway got chatting to the parts guy and i was saying how every octy ive owned has had the badges go creamy or the laquer lifting, and he said that yeah its even happening on the new cars, and that the superb and yeti were replacing them for a recall if they were having problem. So if your having problems with your badges, give the dealer a call before buying some hope that helps someone out :)

Yep - the worm in the badge does seem to be an issue that must be costing Skoda a bob or two.

Thanks for the post and the info. Touch wood mine seems to be immune to the worm, but maybe it is the altitude here in mid Wales!

Its a Skoda campaign so when you take the car in for a service etc it gets flagged up also. Just had mine replaced on the second service. :)

Got mine serviced today - I'd already checked them and they looked fine but were replaced anyway.

Thanks - I was told they are not just inspecting it, they are replacing it even if they look fine (mine was replaced once about 10 months ago and still looks fine).

Huh! I've just paid £15 to get a new rear Fabia 2 badge 'cos now 4 years old....... Same creamy problem but badge said 'made in Italy ' on the back so maybe that's why!

The one on our 2010 Fabia is a mess; surface layer finish is starting to peel away at the edges. I've also noticed this last week, that the Yeti's tailgate badge has the first signs of the problem.

In contrast my sons 9 year old Fabia has no such issue; although there appears to be some sort of finishing ring around the rear edge of the badge. Only issue to speak of is the green winged arrow has faded to a turquoise sort of colour.

TP

What are the diameters the front and rear badges anyone please?
