luckily for me the previous owner bought the 'uprated race clutch' only a couple of thousand miles ago!! unluckily for me it snapped in half yesterday!!!! it would appear to be a standard clutch and a dab of red paint!!

thats exactly whats gone on here!! i didnt buy it but do have the receipt for £500 from the last owner.. probably wont bother contacting them as i will just get fobbed off. if i had bought it i would definately be throwing the 3 bits of it through his windows now!!

was a lad called si i bought it off in bradford, never met him as he was in work when i bought it, i have spent a couple of grand making it better since i got it last month,, just hate the chav bumper but needs must for the intercooler!

i bought the car knowing it needed work and he told me the clutch used to bite sometimes and i had bought a gearbox for it because it whined in 5th which he never told me.. i have just added up and it has cost me £2750 in less than 2 months trying to put it right, i have spent about 2 weeks driving it all in all!! i have lost the love for this car a little but i know it will never get anywhere near the £5500 it owes me so it looks like i am stuck with it.... going to pick it up tonight with a new sachs clutch kit in it and a set of coilovers and drop links on it.. maybe the love will grow again!!

I know the feeling, the flywheel unexpectedly went on mine not long after I bought it so I was in the same boat, just bought a car and looking at £1200 in repairs...not fun but as you say, you can't sell it broken cos you'd get nothing for it and you'd still need a car, might as well just get on with it! :/

I bought the techniclutch smf conversion. it's just the valeo set up. works a treat for me so far, I was tempted to go for that exact kit. glad I didn't.

Same as those cg kits on ebay! Also a lot of rubbish! Darkside sold a few of them but every single ond bar one was returned! Buy cheap buy twice!

I contacted John Fisher on the phone number and email you provided (see below ) and after being fobbed off I told him I would drive over to his home address which I did and he paid up on the doorstep, £650 back in my bank account. I got a nice reward from my wife that night!!
