black vrs wide mouth pics please

Featured Replies

has anyone got a picture of a black vrs with the wide mouth mod? I hear it looks aweful but I've never actually seen it before,

looking to get a FMIC what other options do I have t

for better flow? or do I even need it?

What power are you planning to run?

You don't need a big mouth IMO unless you are around 230bhp or more and are going to spend a fair amount of time giving it the beans, like on track days.

If it's just for road use then I don't think it's really needed as you are not going to be using full throtte for extended periods of time.

You can just fit an FMIC behind the bumper.

planing on around 210-220bhp mark, i quite like it tbh, i might get another bumper to play round with.

what sort of gains could be seen from fitting the SS FMIC? standard turbo, exhaust, REVO stage 1 map.

I don't think you'll get to the power you want without sorting the turbo.

I'm not the expert on turbos like some here, but it'll probably die quite quickly over about 180bhp.

Over that kind of power the costs rise... clutch will need uprating too.

The main problem with a big mouth is finding a good location for the plate.

Wouldn't you be better the mount your plate somewhere else. Looks very boy racer where it is. Don't like that at all.

That plate is horrendous!

210-220 are my goal, im saving for either a 130 hybrid or 150 turbo, i have a clutch rated to 350 ft/lbs or so they say, so id get a map thats easy on the clutch torque wise, im not after huge power, just drivablity more than anything, nice and safe too, as i commute quiet a bit, so i dont want to push components to the limit. ill be doing the odd track day too.

another thing thats bugging me is my coilovers, i have the dreaded knocking/clunking from the front, ive changed every bush/ ball joint/bearing on the front and its still there, thinking its the spring rattling round, not sure though.

agreed on the plate tbf, would be nicer if you got a vinyl plate made up

Mines currently slammed to the deck, but I think when I left it up abit in the next few days because it's shredding tyres I think I'm going to have the same problem, if I go too high the spring will be loose. Will be re slamming it after a couple months, just needs to save cash on tyres as I'm skint lol
