Another Jabba Convert....

Featured Replies

What a hot day, hence the slightly disappointing results, however it still feels great to drive, and i'll just have to wait for a cool evening to experience the full power.

The results at the end of the RR session:

217.9 bhp & 313.5 Nm (231 lb/ft)

Mike reckons there would have been another 10 bhp if the temperature had been lower.

Can i suggest that Jabba invest in a Dry Ice machine and a fan the size of a 747 engine ? :D

As I keep reminding people - don't get hung up on the BHP figure. Every turbo car I've had remapped or chipped varies with the atmospheric conditions and fuel used.

Just enjoy the way it drives and NEVER underestimate the effects of extra torque !

I'm pleased with the results, Mike did his best to gain the optimate fugures on the day. It does drive well and the increase in torque is amazing - it obviously needs a lot more testing:D

Martin,

glad you had a good day and are pleased with your result. What with the fine weather and the amount if Briskodians having remaps there'll be a lot of testing being done!:D

Maybe there'll also be a better chance of someone being spotted for the "Was It You" forum.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Does anyone know if Jabba do car stickers ?

Yes they do !!

I have some very nice small ones that are for inside the window mounting.

Talk nicely to Carole at Jabba.

Graham

I see that the atmospheric pressure was very low that day - 988 mbar - which will account for some of the power loss too.

Denis, there is a free spot next Tuesday morning ;)

Go on, you know you want to :D

I pay

Just over

Thank you for the Saga link. I don't ever anticipate needing to use their products!

Bearing in mind next Tuesday's Jabba slot, I have literally just obtained a quote from LiverpoolVictoria for my 4X4. The premium quoted for Class 1 use, 2 drivers, protected NCD,

What is defined by a change in engine size? Dimensions? A bit vague if you ask me.

Capacity.

Which will not change, ever, with a remap/chip or other ecu change. Still dubious.

...bringing it back on topic, that's hardly a flat torque curve isn't it? How's the feel then?

I looked twice at the torque curve, the peak is higher than mine but it seems to reach it more slowly and hold it for a shorter time. I think our recent UK weather may have something to do with it.

Heres my dyno again.

Martin, How well does it drive? I took a friend out in mine at the weekend and for the first time he asked me to slow down. I am getting used to the way the power is delivered, wheel spin in 1st and 2nd at any speed is scary,

Not a 4X4 then?

So are you in fact beating the TC there, Manny?
