Already looked at these the other week and realised then they wouldn't fit.

Not sure I like the ones you've fitted Carl - I'm after longer ones like the ones Brimma has but nobody does them at a sensible cost.

I'm considering taking a mould using modelling putty (Milliput) to make the base which cleaned up, shaped and coloured would provide a suitable mount to alow the fitment of some alloy paddles ...........hmmmm......

I got the OSIR ones as i was after something better than the OEM plastic but i didn't want the extended ones as i don't find any issues with the OEM/OSIR sized ones.

I think the longer ones would make the steering wheel look too cluttered imho.

But ETTO

I like Carls Titanium lookalike ones , I have Titanium shifters on my bike. Bryan get your bulb fixed :giggle:

Carl are the OSIR paddle extensions easy to fit ??

Thanks.

Well done for fitting them, but I don't like them.

Seems odd you can still see the original paddles. I know it's a more expensive and awkward fit but I would say removing and replacing the original would look best.

Having driven the car this morning, I can honestly say it is amazing how much more inclined I am to use the car manually with these fitted - £30 very well spent

Very good but get your bulb fixed( you still have a warning light)

And while you're at it Brian, you have an issue with your rear lights - they are very dark mate :-) Also that wheel has a VW badge on it - really should have a Skoda one :-)

.....but seriously folks - do you think the paddles could be modified to fit the Octy wheel using a different fixing?

Boring!

a) Skoda don’t do a flat-bottomed wheel

B) Skoda facelift wheel isn’t compatible

c) the paddle extensions wouldn't fit

d) fitting a Skoda badge could be lethal

You do the maths

so have you a bulb out or not . If it is because of your rear lights turn off cold diagnostics

No bulbs out, and it's been on long before I fitted the LEDs

Yes - took me literally 15 mins to do. Very easy on the FL. It is just a case of

Remove Airbag

Remove Paddles

Seperate plastic cover from paddle internals

Fix OSIR paddle to internals

Refit Paddles

Refit Airbag

Job done.

They are Solid Aluminium not Titanium (I wish they were) :p

I still recommend trying to find the fault rather than code the warning out. Otherwise you could get stopped for having a defective light that you don't know about.

Absolutely fine, no issues whatsoever :-)

Having said that, I still drive quite rarely in manual mode because the DSG is so good
