There could be quite a few of those I think there could a Nissan 200SX powered Capri on the stand.

Too close to the date now to worry about Skoda / non Skoda! I only wish more people off here would commit earlier so I wouldn't have to resort to offering track spots out to Pistonheads, etc....

Everyone 'starts somwhere'. My first track outing was @ Castle Combe on a Brisky session. In my experience (certainly with the Brisky sesssion) is that there is a 'gentlemanly' understanding that the session is aimed at novices and promoting the community spirit.

No-one cares (too much) if they're overtaken, drive within your limits and you'll be fine.

I have to say that on track sessions I've done (three outside the Brisky ones) I've always seen people drive sensibly.

Alas, there is no 'Bravado' filter either before or after the drivers breifing to remove the 'I have fitted a K&N filter which means I'm now a close second to J. Button in terms of driving skill' element...... :(

My first track day was last time with Briskoda and I loved it once I got used to how it went. Just remember that you will be overtaken at some point. It's just for fun and what I did was build up to going quicker and not flat out first lap out. There's no prizes for binning it apart from a long walk home.

For people who just wish to come on the stand no advance payment is needed, but you will pay £12 per adult on the gate. Just add yourselves to the list - that side of things IS flexible.

Its £12 now! I might step in myself for a gentle blast on track. I need Ncarring to come out as passenger again to show me the lines. I was able to go faster going "slower" if that makes sense.

On Sunday evening I'll be calling a halt to it, so you only have 2 days if you want a potential 29) and 30) slot. nope. swapped out the eibachs for H&R but still sits like a tractor at the rear as there's nowt in it!!

Old faithful will likely be retired in about 12-18 months to make way for a vehicle reshuffle. I might keep some of the good bits for something else.......
