what should I do?

Featured Replies

As some will know I have recently got a vrs estate

Leather was a option I ticked for comfort and also for cleaning with a 7 month and a 3 year old!!

Well today I have come to clean them, and I have noticed a zip!!!! Nearly cut my finger to be honest!!

I have asked, and paid for leather but have leather seat covers!!!!!!!

What should I do??? Suggestions please??

Andy

The zip is to gain access to the rear seat Isofix securing points.

Zipped or not all cars with leather seats have leather covers, its a leather covering of the seat as opossed to material...

I don't have Zips, but I have a retrim, in leather

EDIT:- I do have zips on the rear seats on my retrim ( just been to look)

But my old seats were different and had no zips

They were, leather seats as apposite to leather seat covers!!

Sorry just not happy

Are the zips on the bottom of the seat backs, on the black bit

If you pull the Zips down you will find fixing for a Isofix Child seat

Am I not understanding?

Leather seats are just that - leather seat covers.

On non-leather seats the padding/foam/mechanism etc. is covered in material.

When you tick the leather option the same seats are covered in the same way but they use leather instead of cloth.

The zip isn't holding the leather onto the seat it is simply to allow you to attach a car seat to the internal securing points...

Thank you for your comments

I have to compare my seats from my previous car,s leather seats to the ones outside and it's like a seat from Harrods and one from asda!! No offence intended!!!

I am surprised that you are able to take the covers off, and under I will have standard vrs seats????!!

You can take the covers off any seats,

250vrs can you put some pics up of the seats?

The leather seats at the backs have zips so you can unzip a fraction of the seat to secure a car seat for baby securely, as everyone is pointing out.

When you say you had leathers before did the car come with iso fixing for baby seats, and what car was it?

I have leather seats too and TBH they're the most disappointing aspect of the car - they look really cheap.

The leather seats with white stitching in the LE vRS are miles better.

Mine were re-trimmed at Seat Surgeons in York.

If I asked for, and paid for the leather, as per the brochure, but have seats nothing Klein that,,,,,,,,

What should I do?? Another poor tactic occurred!!

Any chance you could dispense with the drama queen hysterics and actually post some pics up of the offending zips?

If its not the spec you ordered then the solution is simple, surely ?? Back to the dealer and replacement seats ordered to be retro fitted...

sent from my phone....

The seats that silver 1011 posted a picture of ain't the vrs leather seats those have been re-trimmed by seat surgeons. The only vrs that had seats remotely like those was the Ltd edition vrs. The vrs leather seats are these

Yes for the isofix points. I think the OP is complaining that his don't look like the ones that silver 1011 posted which have never been offered for the vrs except the ltd edition ones. And no brochure shows ones like silver posted

Zips on the rear seats for isofix

Agreed but I think the OP thinks that the Leather are seat covers that are Zipped on so they can be removed as apposed the "Proper Leather as in leather seats, not Zipped on

I think
