Number Plates?

Featured Replies

the funny thing is they book things on account, so its all traceable everytime a police vehicle is transported it is done on the highlands and islands force account, same with all other enforcement agencies so doesnt take long to find out, but hey ho, i dont run red diesel, and apart from the number plates not having a makers stamp all my cars are legit  I do love the cops up here though, they pulled my wife over in my old BMW for the simple reason that they had not seen the car on the island before, they were really worried when my wife said it wasnt her car and she was unemployed

These guys and gals are not Police they are HMRC.

They know now not to give the Police the courtesy of letting know they are going to be visiting.

Thats how they have been able to get the guys for Black Fish landings, Busses running Marine Red & fuel processing plants,

even a little bit of grow your own Hotriculture.

Amazing how many of those old tractors and Land Rovers that were on the islands & never left them had there Cherished Registration Number transfered on to cars 30 years ago.

(it was a big thing back in the late 70's early 80's when there was a good Cherished Numbers trade/prices to be going around the islands and finding numbers on vehicles, old scrap cars, bikes etc and matching them to a similar vehicle, getting a MOT and re-register it, then sell the Registration on)

Now that the abandoned vehicles are getting pulled out the bushes and barns and someone wants to revive them, only to find they have been on someone elses Tax Exempt vehicle for decades now.
