Collecting new Roomster today....

Featured Replies

Collecting my wife's Roomster SE Plus 1.6CR TDI 105 SE Plus today, I saw the car already and must say it does good look in silver.

Total 9 weeks build+delivery time  and this was new custom spec car order ordered week 9, built in week 16, delivered week 18. Good effort on Skoda's part.

Photos soon after it was off the delivery truck:

Minor snag is that I asked the dealer to order skid plate prior to car's arrival, of course they ignored and ordered at last minute, and now the skid plates are on backorder. No problem as long as I can get it before car's first trip abroad during half-term.

I'll need to put a satnav cradle, a flange fixed towbar, a lot of electrics mods, sockets, and switches and an Euro passegenr mirror glass (wide angle instead of convex) before it is ready, though. Good thing it's Bank Holiday weekend coming...

Nice looking car! Are the rear windows darker than standard Sunset glass (or whatever they are called) or is it just the picture? That's one thing I like about the roomster is the distinct shapes of the windows, it's very different from almost other cars.

It is Sunset glass, it's a mobile phone camera photo with our favourite UK weather of heavy low level cloud (and heavy rain, consistently for past 3 weeks or so :giggle: ), that's why it is so dark.

The shape of windows - I agree with you, but some people like it, some do not. It is certainly very practical in the back and the low window sills (and giant sunroof) were the first things our kids noticed as positives (compared to old Octavia) during a test drive.

Anyway, since ordering Roomster if anyone mentions any part of Roomie shape as an aesthetics challenge, we kindly point them to a Nissan Juke (should be called a Nissan Joke  ). You can do far worse than Roomster...

Looks well in Silver B)

Congratulations with the new Roomster. Looks really good. And you are right about the windows. The kids loves the lower windows and the roof window. That was one of the main reasons for buying the Roomster.

looks good in silver ( my Roomster is in Aqua Blue )to my mind these cars look good in lighter colours , hope you enjoy your Roomster as we do
