Yes thats what i thought no harm in folding up a piece of paper and putting it in glove box.

People have there own opinions, I'm a young lad that likes tinkering with cars and also like to be different, i think it'll look well and thats all that matters :)

Ha. Is yours Red aswell?

Pictures ASAP Rob.

It is yes, ill get some on as soon as it comes, I'm away with work for 2 weeks as soon as i hopefully get it so grill tints and lights may have to wait along with wheels if i cant get it booked in, in time.

But iv got everything prepared for the car just need the actually thing haha

Yellow Lamin-X kind of appeals, but I'm weird like that.

'Our Clear/SubtleTint/GunSmoke/OpticBlue light protection films all produce a legal natural light colour, and our Yellow produces a Yellow tinted light which is of course perfectly legal within the UK.'

That is the bit that concerns the tint im going for :)

The tinted film will reduce the brightness undoubtedly but my logic is that I have phillips ultra bright bulbs which are so much brighter than the oem bulbs so brightness should still be adequate and better than when the car came out the factory.

Where was this from? It was a lot more expensive when I looked into it once before.

Yeah where from??? I was just going to order it from lamin x uk with the 6% discount code i have if it works haha

Doesn't look right with the Blue tint

I think it does on a blue car, i have mine done but its very hard to get an acurate pic of the colour, it doesnt look like it does in the flesh

IMAG0255.jpg

I have the fogs done in yellow, and the bit that was left over was just enough to do the clear section of the rear lights

I bought mine from the US (lamin-x.com) as at the time it worked out cheaper for me with the way the exchange rate was for Euro, also the US sheets are different sizes

I tried to do my headlights, but it was a major fail! I used an alternative film sourced from the bay, so that's probably the reason, tbh I wasn't that keen anyway. I still can't believe the Octy vRS doesn't have smoked lights, they've managed to fit them on the furby now.........pull your finger out Skoda!!!!

Haha i nearly purchased some fake lamin x if you like ha got to be careful on ebay ha, yes my furby came with the black pack (headlights and grill done black) which i was chuffed to bits with when i found out made the car look 100x better

Not been funny but its my car i do what i want you dont like it then thats why YOU havnt do it to yours, the reason im doing it is to improve in my opinion the look as black grill black wheels and chrome lights would look naff, and i dont want it to be like every other octavia on the road hence the red choice of colour instead of blue or white

Chill

Like I said in my post "Hey, it's up to you"

I would never **** somebody for wanting to modify their motor - I've done money in the past. My query was why reduce the light output thats all.....which I still think is a dumb idea but hey,,,,,,,

Good luck with the car - does look good in red BTW

Little point in Skoda developing them for a car that is coming to (has come to?) the end it's production life. They'd probably need to go through approval too.

Octavia 3 on the other hand........;)
