Hi, does anyone use the Skoda dog guard and boot liner in their Yeti? I am thinking about getting a Vizsla puppy and want to keep her safe in the back of my Yeti Urban, any other suggestions?

Frequently carry a couple of nice puppies in the front seat of mine ...

But I keep my flat-coat retriever in the back, behind the Skoda dog guard which works well.

Er, I know that (I' a vit'nery!!), just, er, questioning the choice of, er, breed!

Mind you a Welsh farm collie with their predilection for accumulating Rastafarian quantities of dung encrusted and laden dingleberries would be a mite worse, especially on a wet day!!

Presumably you have infinitely more tolerance and acceptance, as well as a wealth of experience...... Otherwise... ... .?

He's a bit bigger these days, we've had him and a chunky chocolate lab in there together with no problems. You can get a "high top" version - but then you wouldn't be able to see much out of the back window!

I have a Greenline S with (at great effort) a raised boot floor for a spacesaver wheel. This gives a total domain for my v. active Springer Spaniel with Rubber bootliner (not the Skoda one which is rubbish) and numerous old rugs etc. This is good for my 700 mile trips to southern France.

I considered a dog guard (had these on Fabias) but opted for the central rear headrest (standard on some models) and keep all three in fully raised positions - works fine for me - and dog appreciates his area and panoramic views. Can't be retro fitted - must order with new car!

That's so cute it made me go "awww..."

I like Viszlas, and all the other energetic, lean, short-haired varieties like pointers & weimaraners. Awesome dogs. But yeah ... some of the examples I've seen would take up most of the back seat of a Yeti. Plus my wife isn't a fan of pet hair, so .... I'm guessing it'll be an 'oodle' variety when we eventually get a pup (Groodle, Spoodle or Aussiedoodle are the front-runners)

I trust that these Puppies are the Hush variety . Three places out of bounds for a dog - pasenger wells ( get filed up with sick easily - dogs are like us , they travel better if they can see & anticipate bumps/bends etc), front seats - dog + screen = lots of mince, and lastly , boot- one tailgater later ,and dog gets unknown injuries .I've had it happen ,and six month later health dog had internal tumours.

For those not liking pet hairs , let me introduce the Highland Terriers- they do give off hair, bit it's like bum fluff, soft and fine, and not much of it . There's two varieties - the West Highland and the breed they came from -the Cairn. Lovely little ( to medium sized) dogs. They need to be socialised young, but once socialised with dogs & humans ( and kids) are ( mostly) well mannered ( if bossy and assertive) dogs. Quite a few end up in rehoming,for a few reasons. Folk like the look,but forget that these dogs will do anything for love, but nothing for threats. They are highly intelligent and need interaction. Folk get them,as pups in their sixties ,forgetting that these blokes can live up to sixteen years of age, and then old age takes over the owner, leaving a dog looking for a home. My Cairn is 11, already ,he's seen one owner go into care,where he couldn't go. And he's still as lively ( possibly not as quick as a youngdog) ,but he's many a time almost had a squirell, or a rat .

And ,yes ,you'd get two of these ( even the larger ones) into a Yeti. And you'd belong to a very clannish society - own a Cairn,and Cairn owners ( and other pure breed owners accept it), r home a Cairn, and the Cairn world takes you in .Have a look on CTRF for dogs looking for homes .
