Hi Mark, i couldnt tell you... i can tell you its a 56 plate though.. like i say im totaly new to the car hunting thing....so i really have next to no knowledge base..i have my uncle on here and he is feeding me information about it and giving me handy tips and things to look out for.

Welcome.

56 and all up to 07 is mark one, all diesel.

They didn't start the mark 2 vrs until 2010 and they're only available in petrol, what a waste!

every day a school day ha ha ha... Cheers spinna. i was a shock driving a diesel again, you forget how noisey they are in comparison.. either that or a tested a duff car lol.

Ye it is a mk1

Id recommend one as i also run one myself . Ive just posted in the thread - torn btwn a fabia vrs and leon fr tdi. Have a read as that is my verdict lol

Spinna , not sure if u have seen them but the mk1 fab vrs was launched at the end of 2003 starting on the 53 plate.

Guessing it was a typo though lol i.e. on a laptop . Im on this damn i phone , hence why i start typing and unexpectidly post before finishing lol

I know when they started , it's just he was talking about a 56, that's why I mentioned it.

I actually re-read it after I posted and came to the same conclusion as you did!

But you can't edit on an iPad and I'm not getting off my @r5e and using the pc!

I lovr the fab now, sure do, i was scepticle at first just as im used to larger cars but it is a good move in my opinion. How far up are you?

im shamed to admit it but i drive a picasso at the min(family car) but dont need one that big or boring anymore.

Im up in St Andrews just now and can only find them over by Glasgow...with a head gasket failing on the picasso its travel i could do without, but from what i hear and have read on here it will be worth it

It's says st Andrews, so that's just over the forth from Edinburgh really.

I'm sure 2 or 3 months ago there were a couple of vrs changed hands on here - Ayrshire and Glasgow,I think.

Unlucky.

I take it you are looking for untouched examples, aren't we all synical! :)

We want them standard so we can mod. Lolol.

im not sure how many are untouched these days..but i can see this becoming quite a hobby...so mods will be coming im sure of it.

I have managed to find 5 up here in total(within my budget) . but i discounted 1 of those yesterday sadly

Lol always the way. Std as the foundation.

Plenty of tuning options. Easily most popular is the remap lol

Suppose you could say we want them virginal so we can make em dirty as!

Guy I use would map a mk1 to 170 for £200.

It's a no brainer.

Got to join a local vag forum to get that price, saves you £25!
