Hey what is that ??? Do i need one ???

I need mechanic mates :D

You guys didnt see how long it took to take my whiteline off and swap for the eibach hehe

My strut brace was not a quick job either :D

Maybe i need some axel stands too :)

well you do need to jack the car up to do it (or go over a pit) or on ramps, so i suggest axle stands too of course as you would be under the car.

It fits over the end of the filter, then to your socket extension to undo, no more fiddly straps or clamps to try to remove the filter. The cup is fluted to match the flutes/angles on the filter, so no slippeage when undoing.

If you can do a rear arb you can do the oil filter.

Hehe even if takes me a few hours :D

When it comes to it you can all place bets to see how quick i come crying to briskodians with a broke bit lol although missplacing is my issue :(

I put anything i take off safe : D

BE CAREFULL WHEN ORDERING FROM GLOWSHIFT!!!!

I orded a set of gauges, and as they come from the states i was STUNG with an aditional £28 import tax from royal nail! Ontop of the existing £120 for the gauges!

I reckon you could do it in less than one and a half hours on your first try Lloyd. The longest part is waiting for the old oil to drain out.

Axle stands are really useful to have, if you buy some get ones with a V or U shaped top with rubber inserts, so they fit on the sill without bending the lip.

If you buy that sandwich plate do check how thick it is as I think if the filter sticks out more than another half an inch from the block it will foul against pipework (or you could just buy one of the shorter filters)

I never got charged any extra for mine. Must depend on how much you spend.

these are based in the uk, and are the same thing basically, as jamie said, check the dimensions with the supplier

Oh shat i didnt think of that :(

Ive been ordering 1 at a time too :(

I may have just fooked up them :(

Do they just take them away until you pay ? Or do you get a gert invoice :(

I have a bad feeling ive fudged up :(

what you mean you ordered more than one sandwich plate from the states?

well if the courier like fedex are dealing with it, then they handle the customs charges on your behalf, and you have to pay them otherwise they wont release the item.

just looked on rspecs website, it says under the sandwich plate 'manufactured by prosport UK'

Ive ordered my gauges from glowshift to :(

Maybe i should give up with car playing.... My funds cant deal with my mistakes :(

Yep thats the sort.

Those ones look quite small as well so should be nice and easy to get under the car.

Mine are so big I had to go through a process of jacking the car up with the scissor jack so I could get the trolley jack and a block of wood underneath it to then lift it high enough to sit on the axle stands!

i looked at the other link from rspec! why order the more expensive one?

from their listing;

Buyers are responsible for any & all customs, brokerage and/or taxes to be paid to the courier or their government. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price. GlowShift is not responsible for these charges and we do not have any further information regarding them. GlowShift is also not responsible for customs delays or holds beyond our control. Please do not confuse these charges as additional shipping fees. If you have questions regarding this issue, please contact your local customs office prior to purchasing for more information on any fees you may be assessed.

apparently, when they come to deliver, they bum you too as part of the charge.

On a serious note, they will cost more than you paid, but probably on the sandwich plate it will be around 5-6ish i would imagine, so not horrific (unlike the bumming);>

Cheers for all this help tho guys.... At least after the crying theres helpfull friendly brisk folk

well in theory the value of the items whether shipped together or seperate should not change, and i assume like most retails they charge for each item shipped rather than all for the same price in one box, so doubt there will be much difference tbh. Anyway, my experience of buying abroad (and i have bought a lot) is that if you order several items (albeit under seperate orders) as long as they are placed around the same time, they will ship together, its easier for them and you!

I just hope i like them lol

Im sure they will be funky... In about 6 months when they turn up lol

They go on the value of the product. My gauges came in 1 medium sized box and royal mail dropped a card off saying i had a item waiting for me.

The gauges are really nice and good quality tho!

BUT would i order from them again......No. UK supplier only :)
