Kw v1 coilovers. What improvement will i see?

Featured Replies

lol, yes i remember doing that the first time i pushed mine in the wet just after getting my first rear arb fitted. I was going round a roundabout and was facing a lorry and a car who were waiting for me, i managed to refeather the throttle and kind of powerslide the car and bring it back into line, reminded me not to lift off when caning it round corners or roundabouts though!!!

Maybe ill get an arb but it will have to wait

Could someones post a link to the dogbone mounts i require is there a front and rear one?

Going to change my gbox oil tmoro (notchy) :)

I'm special I just did a 360 on the duel carriage way I was joining, I also blame in on the fact it was 5 in the morning and I was on the way to pick swmbo up from the airport. So it was her fault lol

lol, it was def her fault dude, no question at all in my mind!!! flipping 5 in the morn!!!

look on pri racing they do 2 bushes, i sugges the superpro rear and and the superpro front insert bush (not the entire bush) the insert means its not so stiff.

I have went for the powerflex red rear bush (half the price) plus loads of rally teams use powerflex (or they did when i watched it) never had a problem with powerflex either

So just get the insert? The original bush wont be in a million peices though? 66k miles

most of the members on here who have tried the powerflex bushes, havent liked them, Thats why we all say fit superpr to octavias, a few people have had problems with powerflex wishbone bushes and also the rear beam bushes iirc. One of the members julien (i think) has a red fitted and he likes it.

The insert goes over the stock front dogbone bush and means you dont need to drill out or press in a new bush, plus its less stiff that a complete uprated bush.

think red powerflex is slightly softer than the superpro - a bit of forums searching will give you the shore ratings

pretty sure oem is 50 shore, red is 60 shore, and superpro tdi is 70 shore

and DSS199 posted this

Well i have looked at the visual difference, the Super Pro has groves into it and the powerflex doesnt, i am just getting to much vibes from my powerflex, now at 600 miles. I was also wondering when people were talking about torqe setting for the dog bone mount. does anyone have a list of these?

think ds199 has the yellow powerflex bush, so the red one is softer and therefor less harsh than the superpro blue.

this just creased me up

My red one took about 500km or more to settle..

I think I got some poop in my pants when starting car first time after fitting... vibration was horrible :giggle:

Well i have bought powerflex red rear and a superpro insert, all in for £31

Whats the main ones to do on the front?

I have fitted some to my old lupo gti which i managed

what do you mean 'whats the main one to do on the front'?

Wishbones etc?

Dont want to spend a fortune just want to stiffen it up a wee bit?

Wishbone front and rear?

i get ya, thought you were still talking about dogbone!

then tt/cupra bushes are a good addition to the stock vrs wishbone

Are they similar to say fabia console bushes? Just one bush or is it more than one i need to change, i liked the powerflex ones i put on my lupo as they were 2 piece and req no pressing in

Edited by BigJase88

pretty sure they are, i didnt use them as my setup was a tt front end with superpro and whiteline castor bushes.

either way they will be way better than soggy worn stock!

The powerflex ones pop out due to them being 2 part, hence either go tt/lcr solid rubber or again superpro. They need pressing in tho.
