slight smoke from engine bay?

Featured Replies

well I've noticed this for a few weeks now. and can't seem to find where it's coming from.

it's just a mist of smoke nothing massive, anyone had anything similar?

Are you running stock breather?

Could be a slight leak from somewhere and its evaporating on hot engine parts possibly

brads I've done the 'elephant trunk mod', air filter is just a k&n panel filter,

That's what it will be then :)

Where have you put the hose to? I have seen a few cars take it to the rear axle to stop the smoke and smell!

Whats the elephant trunk mod? What does it do lol?

Is your oil filler tube (the bit that the cap attaches to) securely connected? Mine now tends to undo instead of the cap. You would see a few traces of oil around the base though if this is the case.

Trev - the mod takes the crank case vent hose, and vents to air instead of the inlet. It's called the elephant hose mod, as you typically use a long piece of black water pipe that loosely (very loosely) resembles an elephant trunk. Search for it!
