Hey guys,

I dont usually venture into the world of detailing, as long as the car looks pretty clean, im happy. and as my Octy is the Black Magic, nigh impossible to keep clean... Goddam dirt magnet..

anyway, my gripe is that i bought the car in January, there was a couple small spots where the clearcoat looks to have flaked or peeled away. the front wing, just behind the indicator, and a spot on drivers door.

I got a bit off the price, because of the marks, and a couple of dents on the rear bumper.

and now i really want rid of the peeling. the car looks fine with some day to day dirt and grime, draws attention away from it. but when i wash it, and give it a quick shine up, these white peel marks are like lit up LEDs!

I have tried Autoglym paint restorer on the all the other small scrapes/ brush marks (I trully think a farmer owned the car at some point...) and had limited sucess. as a novice i wouldnt be surprised if id not really done it properly, used too much, not rubbed it for long enough or whatever.

Anybody got any advice on how to take care of the peeling? Car's only a 04 plate, so young enough. I just think she was neglected on the cleaning front by previous owners.

Ive read a bit about colour correction? what does this involve?

Thanks Guys.
