Possibly the best mkI Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Right then, here we go...

I consider this car to be not only probably the last ever registered mkI Fabia in the UK, but also the best modified one with no expense spared on making sure everything is done to the highest standard by a well known tuner.

On top of that it's a low milage VRS SE.

Skoda Fabia mkI VRS SE (no 201) with 24,000 miles on the clock. Registered March 2009

Extensively modified by Jabbasport to a very high standard at 22,000 miles last year.

I'll list the basics, because it's had just about everything done to it.

Jabbasport stage 3 kit with gas flowed head. EGR still works, no error lights,

Methanol injection,

Paddle clutch,

LSD,

KW V3 Coilovers,

Four new Toyo 888 tyres on the car, one used spare and 17" spider rims, plus two new spare 888 tyres and one spare 17" spider rim,

Front and back anti roll bars,

All the usual bushings changed,

Front Brembo brakes and uprated rear discs.

Usual VRS SE extras, so full leather trim, cruise, CD etc...

This one also has the benefit of rear parking sensors colour coded to the bumper.

It's rather quick. Best full trim time at Santa Pod (with the spare in) was 13.609. The fastest known Skoda Fabia in the UK.

When at Millbrooke, the instructor and qualified race engineer commented on how well Jabbasport had set the car up.

I am looking for £11,000, which is less than half what the car has cost and had spent on it in the last year.

The reg number of SE09 FAB is staying on the car.

Bad points:

A few stone chips on the bonnet and a slight vibration over 80mph due to the spacers.

The latter of which could be corrected by alternative rims.

You'll probably want a more sensible tyre choice for weekly pottering about, although the noise from the 888s doesn't bother me.

Car thread here: http://www.briskoda....-se-and-others/

I am only advertising it here as I want the car to go to a fellow Briskodian/Skoda enthusiast.

MOT and service done in April.

Driven sensibly it will return an average of 53mpg.

Driven quickly it'll hit 60mph from a standing start in 5.49 seconds (V box). The mid range pull is quite impressive too.

Rolling roads vary, but it makes between 250-260bhp and 380-400ft/lb.

:o

Where can I get £11,000 from?

Best car ever!

I'm with softscoop, where can I get £11k??? Think I'll go rob a bank :bandit:

Do you want to px with a 70k fab? heheh.

Good luck with sale :)

p.s are you selling to fund your other project(s)?

I am looking for another GT-R.

Convinced myself it had to go, but I was wrong. :(

Don't want a huge amount on HP so need to reduce the fleet. I can only drive one at a time!

Wow, I'm shocked you're selling Richard.

Someone will get themselves a relative bargain here, cracking car. Good luck with the sale, you must have thought long and hard about this...

Golly Richard, didn't see this coming

Sorry you are selling, as others have said if i had the cash!!

Didn't think you would miss the GTR that much after what you were saying about it and Nissan CS,

Have you really thought about this :whew:

I suppose you will have the 4x4 to play with.

Good luck with the sale and hope it goes to a forum member.

Always said how incredible this is! Insurance on this beast would cripple most people!

Good luck with the sale

I pay £640 per year fully comp with Adrian Flux. All mods declared. :)

Wow. Cracking car... if only I had 11k to hand!

GLWTS!

Phil

Well that's put the cat amongst the pigeons... :(

There's me looking for a faster car with less mileage and with about 15k to spend.

Sorry to see it going Richard, Bargain price by the way!!

If I'd have sold either of my other cars by now you may well have seen me down

Hackney Wick waving 11 grand at you...

SWMBO has said no new car until the others are gone and I've not had a sniff

at either yet. If it's still around once I've liquidated my assets the temptation may

be too much to take. Good luck with the sale. Someone will find the money.

glws buddy its a very hard time to sell modded cars and especially for that price you may be better off selling the performance parts to get near your price! lots of timewaster that think they have the money will call there are lots on this forum !!

the gtr is in a different league and is a masterpiece of engineering i can see why you want another

p.s is it the fastest in the uk ???!

I will not break it, because it's such a great car it doesn't deserve that.

Currently it is the fastest confirmed UK Fabia down the quarter mile.

As I wrote above, the V Box data showed 0-60mph at 5.49 seconds.

Madness!

swap for a slightly ratty high mileage red one? ;)

Good luck with the sale

Someone will realise it's been treated better than most people treat their first-born and snap up an absolute bargain!

You'll miss it when its gone though!

Do you accept finance? Lol

Do you accept finance? Lol

Precious metals? Bottle Tops? Buttons? Pocket Fluff? GLWTS

Real money only please. :)

Cash deposit of £500 plus balance by bank transfer is fine.

Once a deposit is paid the car will be locked away (as it usually is, undercover).

Not seen any times for those and tend not to listen to rumor and guesswork.

So I can only go on the facts I know, including the 1/4 mile thread in both the mkI and mkII Fabia sections.

And put my yummy carbon details on it.......... and some BBS's :D

Hope it gets a deserved home bud

Well I'm not changing the post to read:

"Fastest Fabia in the UK, except possibly one I've heard of that's supposed to be mental, although I don't actually know how fast it is." ;)

Fact is, it's quick and well set up. (and economical!)

lol glws

I actually feel sad about this :(

Don't fancy swapping for a 320bhp octavia then?
