Possible new mod!

Featured Replies

Well a while back i decided to remove my rubstrips for the clean look

So from this

To this

Looked good from a distance but under the standard rub strips the paint was fubar! Bubbling everywhere!

So i didnt want to pay £30-£50 for standard black rubstrips so i seen a reflex silver leon cupra being broken, contacted the seller and bagged myself colour coded rub strips off a leon cupra!

I didnt know how good a match reflex vw would be for skoda diamond silver but after a comparison with the other halfs golf gt i didnt think there was much in it!

So here goes, dont know if the pictures look a good match but in real life it looks absolutely spot on!

Possible new undiscovered mod for others?

Nice

Without the rub strip, I felt the main central body portion of your car looked more "Golf Mk IV-like" but I can't back that up with any objective reason!

With the colour-coded rub strips, it looks very nice and exclusive.

Yes i dont like the look of full colour coding but think the front and rear look better black! Tbh its 4 less strips now that i dont have to worry about being carefull with the polish as my pet hate is plastic parts on cars :)

Dont like sorry

Imo has to be

1 no rub strips

2. Standard

3 all colour codes in the right colour

It is a perfect match in daylight without reflections my crappy iphone adds

No rub strips is bubbly, standard is plastic fanstastic

If you look at the door handles the match is perfect!

On cars the plastics when painted never look 100% match to the metal bodywork :)

Just dont look right !!

Black red yellow cars suit no mouldings

Silver looks best standard imo

Well each to their own. I never feel the need to propel strong opinions against aestheitc things people do with their cars. I respect people's individuality and choices.

The black rub strips on the doors connect the black rub strips on the rear bumper with the black rub strips on the front bumper.

Looks a odd with them in silver as a side view goes - black - silver - black.

Now if they were all colour coded it'd be a different story

It's nice to know that they are a direct swap though and to see something different

Another one for the haters ;)

I think it looks good personally
