Does anyone have experience of these Coilovers? Damian from DPM is offering them for a VERY fair price, I'm just curious as to why....

I'm literally in the process of ordering some KW's purely for their reputation on this forum, but the potential of adjustable damping on the SPAX is what is attracting me.

Is that because SPAX are bad or because KW are exceptionally good?

Nothing wrong with spax they've been round for a long time and I've had many sets on various cars with no problems.

My only criticism is they do tend to be quite hard but I'm sure the spax coilovers will have adjustable dampening ?

Don't do this to me. That's the only thing putting me off the KW's! Lol.

Does anyone have any ingenious suggestions as to how I can prevent them rusting etc? I'm aware of people using heavy grease, inner tubes etc.

If I could afford the additional cost, I would Unfortunatley I am not able to justify the extra £230 or whatever it is.

Kw are just amazing quality!

Even though they arent dampening adj. the set up from kw is second to none!

The kw v1 basics will be fine lets face it how often will you adjust the height? Ive never adjusted height on any coilovers only when i first install them

Spax are for corsas and genral mcdonalds rubbish

I have Spax RSX Coilovers on mine and I paid full whack for mine. As said above, pretty stiff ride even on the softest setting but still very good on bumpy roads and handling wise

Had mine set pretty hard and around Silverstone they were great

With the adjustable dampening, on the driver side the top of the strut where coilover can be adjusted is hidden by the vacuum box so basically you have to remove this before you can get in and adjust it.

I wish i spent my money on the KWs as everyone raves about them being so good but tbh if you can get a decent price for them they are a really good coilover and you wont be disappointed

You saw how low my fabia was, that was all the way down on the Spaxs
