Sorry to bring up an old thread. My mates got some brand new Yokohama s line tires he is willing to sell me but they are 195/45/16 in size and I'm a bit cautious about trying them. Is there really that much difference in handling/performance in a narrower tire?

I doubt you'll notice a lack in grip it will be very minimal at best. Unless your qualifying when you drive your car and then a difference maybe felt.
