Volkswagen racing uprated front sway bar

Completely agree, I have a few mates with fancy coilovers kits, been fitted for months others years and I don't know of anyone of them that has changed the height nor dampening since having them fitted yet paid a small fortune for them..pointless.

Most coilovers come with linear spring ratings as well. These are awesome for track but terrible for the road. A better option IMO( i have lots of opinions lol) is progressive springs. These wont be as good as linear on track, but are much better for road use.

This is the direction i have gone for mine. Im going for AST coilovers, one way adjustment, progressive spring rates(with an option of upgrading to linear springs at a later date), its getting corner weighted and setup, and VWR will test the car and give me 4 settings for me to switch between. Road setting, wet track setting, dry track setting.

I agree. I had mine corner weighted a few months back and the difference was astonishing. I also spoke to a Bilstein rep who gave me 3 settings to use on track, one for the road and one for the 1/4 mile. After modifying a few cars I came to the conclusion that it is buy once and buy the best. The cost is less important as if you buy something cheap to save a few bob you invariably buy again at a later date and spend more than just getting the best in the first place. The brakes cost me less than £1k, which is a bargain as they were tested on my car before being put on sale.

Got a link for those brakes? Might be the first thing I change and they look good too. No adverse affects with XDS either?

If your going for a big brake kit you may as well jump onto two piece discs and get the extra weight saving and cooling as well IMO.

Have you stuck the rears on yet John? Im looking for a set to fit to mine as soon as my vwr kit is installed.
