Splined tool for vRS hub strut removal

Featured Replies

Another Tool question! This time the splined bit needed fro the hub nut.

I believe it's M14, can anyone confirm this?

Also, has anyone used the 'bit' or should i splash out on the 'socket?

Opinions on the tools would be great,

Thanks,

Mike

if you have a beefy 1/2"drive 10mm socket go for the cheeper one but I wouldn't use it with a 3/8" or 1/4" drive 10mm

I've got 1/2" drive so i'll give it a go! Cheers for the reply. :)

Ah, you got me guessing there - I thought you meant the large bihex socket for the drive shaft, now I see that you mean the "TORX" headed bolt that clamps the hub on to the strut, yes its M14 SPLINE - I'd buy the Laser one - I think its a Sealey one that I bought as that was what I found first.

I brought the socket one off ebay a little while ago, works perfect mate..
