Do I need a facia surround for a Bolero replacing an Audience h/u?

OKay, really confused as to what you're getting at now a3?!

The stereo I have is a Bolero from a 2011 octy, which is exactly the same as the second picture, just below the Audience h/u in chris' post. The pic you linked looks like a Columbus or an even earlier variant of Skoda satnav stereo which is a very square unit, very different in shape to the bolero I have (and as far as I know all Bolero's look like this), so how can they both need the same fascia when they're quite obviously hugely different shapes?

Chris' picture is an OCTY Bolero in a fl OCTY, nothing to do with a Superb.

Please explain your viewpoint, as you're making it sound very confusing?

ok i see if yours is the bolero in the second pic then your original trim should be fine

there are two types of bolero stereos octy ones are wide and superb bolero are narrow.

Okay, didn't realise you'd assumed I'd bought the square one.

To be fair, there's loads of these out there, I don't know why anyone would get a Superb/Yeti one unless they didn't know they were different shapes. Hopefully, it WILL be a straight fit,... but i'm tempted to get another fascia anyway since they're only about a fiver brand new and I can get it sprayed gloss black to match the rest of the piano striping. Seen it somewhere on here before and it looked cool.

yeah i do like the piano finish does look good

Just got the Bolero in my hands, and it IS exactly the same shape & size as my Audience h/u.

(Just to confirm, this is an 2011 Octy Bolero replacing an 2008 Octy Audience)

Well thank f**k for that!
