Featured Replies

Hello,

Quick question from a newbie for you all.

I have a 51 plate Octavia VRS.

Racing Red

No mods.

If i were to sell it what should I expect to get for it ? also, how much do you think a skoda dealer would offer in p/x ??

Cheers,

Mileage, condition, number of owners, full service history?

Mileage: 33,000

condition: very good

number of owners 2 (inc me)

full service history: yes, but not all main dealer

Where has the car been serviced if not by a main dealer?

I reckon between 7 and 8K

why not just ask a dealer? after all they will only pay what they think its worth less what they can get for it against what you may buy

Figures from Glass's guide (via vauxhall website)

Don't you guys have a fixed yearly rate of depreciation for cars after the first 25% after roll-out?

When I bought my 2.0 brand new in 2003, I paid DHS45,000 dhs including the kit...that's about 9,000 pounds sterling. Two years later, it's now worth Dhs30,000 (6,000 pounds sterling).

Do you guys follow this method of depreciation or what?

Companies might use that system but it doesn't apply to the secondhand car market in the UK.
