vRS 1.9 - owners insurance quotes

Featured Replies

Hi.

I was asked by an owner to add the Fabia vRS to my site,

as he felt there was a strong internet community who'd benefit.

Please take a look at the site: http://www.insurancequotes.org.uk

and if you own a vRS 1.9, submit your "best" quote to the database.

The more people that submit the better the database becomes.

Don't forget to visit again when your renewal is due as the site will help you find the best insurers to contact.

The Fabia vRS quotes page is here:

http://www.insurancequotes.org.uk/quotes/models/?m=fabia

If anyone has a new email for Wayne/Zac please drop them a line as I think I have an old address.

kind regards

Richard

I wasn't aware I was stepping on anyones toes ?

Chris Knott is already in the database of insurers listed on my site.

If lots of your members are insured via / with Chris Knott, then submitting details of their quote on my site will only help Chris Knott get more custom.

Please bare in mind I'm not a "company" the site's there to help people, not sell them anything.

Hopefully the information on the homepage makes things clearer,

if you read that and still felt concerned I obviously need to reword it.

Have a look at the quotes page for another featured model:

Should hopefully give you an idea of how the site works.

If your not a Company, why do you want peoples personal details, who do you sell them to. What Security do your customers have, do you just punt names on for cash to these companys. Have you heard of the data protection act.

I'm not asking for personal details, the site does not store date of birth, postcode, surname etc which would identify an individual.

I don't ask for your permission to share your data with anyone as I've no intention of passing the information on.

When I originally setup the site it didn't even feature affiliate links / banner adverts,

it benefitted me each year as I found cheaper / better insurers to move my own policies to.

Again, I'm not a company, my name's Richard, I believe the internet is a great tool for sharing information, that insurance is a rip-off and hopefully by maintaining this site we can all save a few pounds each year.

I registered the site on a .ORG.uk address to try an convey the fact I'm not trying to sell anyone anything.

If people do go via an affiliate link and end up buying a policy I get a little cash towards the cost of hosting the site, that's it !!

If you all feel the same way, it's no real loss to me I'll just take the car out of the database.

Wayne F asked me to add the car back in 2004, but as I said due to moving the host etc I've only just got round to it:

Richard,

you have PM....no problems. :D

Nice idea :)

As you can probably see we are a security concious lot here, a previous thread will show that a LOT of members are in IT, so that would explain the question.

I'd say that people need to jump down off their VERY high horses and before making comments/suggestions actually bother to click the effin' link to find out what it's about. Honestly...

Really good website Richard, good idea. I'll submit mine later on...;)

tis a good one top effort Rich

Thanks for the kind comments.

I work in IT for a local government body, so I get security, data protection etc shoved down my throat.

If the site helps at least one of you find a cheaper deal next renewal them I'm happy.
