Hey!

I have had a strange start up problem with my VRS for quite some time now.

No matter if its cold start or warm motor, it will "stumble" few times before ignite.

Sometimes it ignite right away.

I have changed coilpacks and spark plugs. So that's OK.

Few days ago I did notice that when I leave the drivers door open when I turn the ignition, the car will ignite right away without any hesitation. Is this not related to the fuel pump priming the fuel line?

Battery getting a bit old?

Certainly I think my 07 takes a fraction longer to catch than it used to. which I put down to an aged battery.

mines does the same, initially i thought it was plugs but.. no still does it randomly it just wont catch and have to turn the key again.

I'm kinda certain its the battery although i plug it into a CTEK everyweekend for 24hrs

Battery, mine did it for a while them my battery died. Replaced it has never done it again.
