So will all Skodas get this SKODA badge out back?

Featured Replies

Every time Renault or Peugeot suffers a bout of self confidence and their sales drop they put back their spelt out name on their cars when they feel the badge alone won't do anymore...

I just noticed on this picture of the new Škoda Rapid's rear that they have now put a badge on the left spelling out ŠKODA (since the new logo does not state the company's name anymore). The Citygo also has the name spelt out on the back.

Will all future updated Škodas now feature this ugly additional badge I wonder?!

I'm not really too keen on the chicken head badge

Thank goodness for that, I thought it was just me.

Think of it as a Red Indian's head-dress!

I hope skoda doesn't put there Name on the rear that's awful but agree it may be a confidence issue

Bound to IMO.

But at least you can take them all off, just leaving the logo.

See your point - but I just de-badge anyway, looks much cleaner.

Not taking to the new badge/logo either.

Too much lettering on the back of a car looks cheap and a little desperate imho

I think others may be right in that it's an executive's confidence problem.

I wonder if they'll have a debadging option like BMW to save folks the bother of the hair-dryer + tooth floss.

So by that logic, Range Rover have been on a confidence downer for years! :D

And Ferrari ! :giggle:

I chuckle every time I see a old Cavalier with "ABS" badge on the boot lol

Nope. If you fluc****e and dither between spelling it out and then just using a logo and back again, you don't have confidence. Always having it spelt it out and that being a big part of your history is a whole different kettle of fish.

(gosh never reliased "fluc t u a t e" could be deemed a profanity!!! )

Oh!! No!!! I dont't like both brand name and model name being in the back side of the car. It's too much. Even with a facelifted badge car brands are dinstict in 21st century. I prefer model's name (e.g. Citigo, Rapid, etc) and just that.

I've debadged every car i've had,

My VRS wouldn't have the round badge on back if it didn't have holes behind it

I think it looks like a head thats been shot with an arrow?

I like the new badge, plain and bold

All looks terrible.

But de badge as said before.

At least is there is a badge saying Skoda it will not be mistaken for a Vauxhal..............................

And the "new"  badge I might point out is actually the old badge. Will try to find a photo of my 1989 favorit to prove the point.
