Has anybody done this to their 2007 Fabia, new shape but with the dreded DPF filter installed, i understand the first of the new shape was not that different in engine as the last of the Mk1's, my engine code for my Mk1 tdi is ' AXR ', Would it be likely that an early 2007 would be the same ?

Oh and yes, loads of people remap them to good effect. Loads of power available. Someone who has done this will advise.

Just found out about the engine code on this new shaped Fabia...... BSW, if that means anything to you.

I had a 2008 Fabia 3 1.9 TDI. No DPF on it so I suspect none on the earlier year one either. I know many remap them but I didn't - it was fast enough for me.

I'm pretty certain none of the 1.9's have ever had a DPF - only some of the 2.0 PD's and the 2.0 and 1.6 CR's. If it has a three letter code 7GG somewhere in the options codes ot has a DPF.

my 2008 1.9TDI thankfully has no DPF,i had the car remapped in February.

yes it has,pulls much better and economy is noticeably better,i have done 5000miles since remap and all is well.

Hi Mate. I have 2008 Fabia Sport with 1.9 TDI and remapped it over year ago. No issues with the remap at all. Car pulls much better and economy improved by at least 5-10%. My bro in law bought himself he Seat Iiza FR 2006 (130bhp) and as I had to drive him down to get a car we raced on the way back on M25. He couldn't keep up with me and never over took me even tho I tried to give him a chance driving on the middle lane and waiting for him to catch up driving at 3,000 revs with lots of power left under the bonnet. Bear in mind he's car is 6 speed manual so even driving on 6th gear didn't help him. I would recommend the remap to any 1.9 TDI VAG owner. Matty

And forgot about one more thing...1.9 TDI defo hasn't got the DPF.
