yep H7

these have thin ballasts not sure if they are ok on normal headlights

sure someone will come and confirm mate

I used hids4u.co.uk. Just passed as MOT no advisories with them in. Don't have self leveling or washer or projector lights. Bit more expensive think i paid £85 for them. Good bit of kit though

can you link to the ones you got mate?

were they easy to fit?

You won't pass the new MOT regs though. When they eventually bring them in!

I could understand running cheap plug & play HID kids when there wasnt the option of fitting correct projector headlights, but now they are available at a reasonable price seems a bit pointless/chavtastic tbh. :bandit:

HID direct i got mine from

Our MOT tester at the garage i work in has been to "mot school" the past two days being updated on all the new changes to the mot rules. If a car is fitted with hids, it needs to have auto leveling and headlight washers.

This seems to come up everytime someone mentions hids, but it is the law whether people like it, disagree with it, have mates that pass it anyway, dont care, im just letting you know for your next mot.

Fair enough thanks for the info. Didn't know the person who did it he ust passed it so obviously didn't know new rules or didn't care

Dude, read the first post lol! Im not bothered!

Just search the cheapest on ebay then my old set were <£45

Had a fabia vrs pull up opposite me with what I assume was a cheap HID kit, the beam was all over the place, I thought he had the main beam on to start with.

Nothing wrong with my beam with normal lights, just look like a nice ice blue beam, dont aim high and lightens up all the road and verge.... Best thing ive done to the car

+1

Just get a cheap set of 35 or 55w D2S HIDs off eBay for under £50 to go in the projector headlights.

HIDs in non-projector lamps = beam scatter no matter what, even Jesus would have had beam scatter.

Never had it before in any other of my 7 cars that have had hids lol!

if running HIDs do you not need to have Canbus compatible ones?!

I've seen a few Fabias with what I assume to be HIDs - they've all been pretty terrible!

Yeh pretty much, a tad fuzzier than that but nothig major, always passed mots, never had bother from the 5-0, all scare mongery

Mine looks as above but no drop and a little lower :wonder:

1 problem i do have is i get the warning light when i turn the lights off with the engine on

Hummmmm, intresting, Must be down to the kit? Could you Stick a picture up of light light on a wall like above when you get the chance? As I said mine were cheap ones from eBay but compared to my mates with stock xenons they were awful, light thrown all over the place. Are yours the ain't glare ones?
