Anyone had throttle problems after disconnecting their battery?!

Featured Replies

Mucho, mucho apologies for kind of hijacking Bluevrs's thread, but it didn't seem to be getting many views on the title given and just wondered if many people had experienced any/many problems with throttle control after Blue's link stating that disconnecting or losing charge on the battery COULD link to the throttle needing resetting??

Seems quite an important issue as it seems a very minor thing to disconnect it, often needed when pottering about by us home mechanics, so I thought there's GOT to be more people who've done it than implied by the views on the thread??

So come on chaps, what are the experiences on here? We've only got cjb's Lupo and Nicksy's MkIV golf to go by so far ( post #6 http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/243889-bolero-questions/)??

I had this problem too. The pedal down, ignition on, 30s, ignition off, pedal up seemed to fix most of it, but still only get 86% throttle open when the pedal is fully depressed.
