Don't suppose anyone here is williing to own up to this one by any chance? I'll give em to 8pm tonight, then its going on barryboys, if no one fesses.

Its only an 'asking price', and a wish on the sellers part, bound to be room for offers.

No paperwork or documents are fair enough if the car has never been Reported as Exported, Broken or 'Stolen'.

Those chassis & engine numbers will need run passed the DVLA tho to be sure you are not 'Handling Stole property',

then it will be easy enough to Re-Register after a VIC (Vehicle identification check) is done.

But it's got number plates front and back, so if it's only done 50 miles then been stored why no documentation ?

Err so that adverts a little odd, group b rally car but has a diesel engine and looks like standard suspension.

Maybe if it was a stripped out 1.8t octy then it might be worth something

Cant find the 'B' in the ad!, i should have gone to Spesavers.

I read what was on the advert i thought,

odd but different words. "group 2 kit car replica rally car",

'Replica' was the word that was more important i thought. 'Attemp at a looky liky' i call them.

I'm with you on that one "a looky likey pile of poo poo"

I don't get it either. Is he saying it's only done 50 miles? It's surely some old worn out '98 deisel Octy that someone's attempted to convert into a knock off Rally car. Not finished it, not registered it 'cos it's not finished & they weren't sure it ever would be, so they're basically selling it as a tired rolling bag of bits?

I'd struggle to value it at £600 for spares tbh & not with my money, thats for sure!

Its only an 'asking price', and a wish on the sellers part, bound to be room for offers.

'Starting Bid' George, that means you can't offer anything less than £2800 & emailing the seller with a lower offer could be classed as asking it to be removed from the bidding & get one reported to Ebay. :o

Is that how things work with Ebay is it, i had no idea!!

He who hesitates is lost, i was taught when first getting in to building a kitty to spend on cars, pre internet days.

Life is easier now with the Bay tho IME.

I wish i could buy that amount of bits that are not knock off for £600 every week..

(To sell or to use on other projects.)

I know what i can get for them & anyone else that bothers to try and make money,

Wheels/tyres, Seats, Body panels, Engine, gearbox and the drivetrain.

Still got a body to weigh in or sell after all thats gone VIA Ebay.

'Re-set' is always the problem with buying a collection of bits that are or are not the sum of the parts of a car.

The car needs to be honest and straight to every examination or knock on your door.

If the VIN is there and not tampered with and the Engine and other bits ID numbers are present and a good plausible story, and some reciepts etc,

then the risks are reduced.

That one, Tooo dodgy to bother with, but thats JMO.
