Scout Gardening

Scouts truly are versatile, currently doing some remodelling on the garden (replacing the previous owners red gravel with lawn - eventually, among other jobs), the shrub didn't stand a chance!

Going.....

That's well and truly got to the root of the problem.

Hope you did not go above your towing limit :giggle: :giggle:

In the past I've used my 110 (& the previous Discovery) on trees up to about 20 foot, or more.

I know how capable the Scouts are, having seen one remove a (basically) crushed car at a RTC

Not sure who's seen this clip before, but it's one place where tyre choice is immaterial (I've not moved an artic, but have shifted a 6x4 laden flatbed)

A man after my own heart, the wife was a tadge concerned when I did the same, thought it a bit excessive

He he - I remember being asked to help jump start a wagon in Doncaster town centre a number of years ago with a SWB site Land Rover. The guy came out of the cab with a heavy duty tow rope and hooked it up before I had the chance to think about it. Anyhow - bunged it in 4WD and Low Ratio, pulled away nice and steady and it did the job no problem.

Yes, people only really expect Landies to be good in the mud, but they are often surprised by the towing capacity of them (good gearing!)

Barring the (horrible) RR Sports, with the 'rubber band tyres'

Treesy does it.....

Ballast: yes

Lower gearing: no - standard everything, with the exception of the towing hitch. Apparently planes don't use ball and socket. :S
