New Yeti is here

several of my colleagues have had their plates cloned.

"several colleagues".......the odds on that happening must be more than winning the lottery.

Looking very nice indeed - I was really tempted by white but ended up falling back to my favourite car colour - bright red. It's strange how perspective makes the Yeti look so much bigger than the Roomy whereas in reality it's just a few mm more here and there.

I've got a question for the 'proud father':

What stereo does it actually come with? Is it the Amundsen (like the brochure says), the Amundsen + (like the configurator says) and if it is the Amundsen + does it have DAB (like the Urban)? I'm hoping for a no, yes and yes on those questions!

Okay, that's more than one question

I originally was going to have red but my boss has a Volvo XC90 in red and I didn't want to be labeled "mini me"! So I went for whilte, and I'm pleased with the result.

Regarding thre radio, I'm afraid it's a no, yes, no. It is an Amundsen+ but it doesn't have DAB. A shame because I'd hoped it would have. Having said that, it's good. Very good. I had been told that the Sat Nav was UK plus major roads of W. Europe but I think it's more than that. It comes with a 6-disk changer in thne boot.

Bugger, that quote thing didn't work as expected!

Thanks for the info John, at least it's the + model so all of the SD card can be used for music. Apart from Absolute 80s (hence the DAB question) I don't listen to the radio. Too much modern music lowers my IQ and raises my blood pressure! :)

Enjoy your holiday - I hope you update us on how the snow monster performs on holiday.

Excellent choice! We should be collecting ours a week tomorrow.

Looks very good. The white is such a nice creamy white - particularly when you see it for real. Choosing the colour is my wife's prerogative - I get to choose the make: she chooses the colour. She has a 'thing' against metallic (especially the 'sparkly bits' in skoda metallic paints) so we are having Pacific Blue. But every time I see a red or white one I think '"oooh that looks good!"

Wife says blue looks less ostentatious and more classy, also blends in well with the black trim and so looks more integrated. I'm just happy to be getting a Yeti  To be honest I've rarely seen a blue one.

Serious question - how long to take delivery of your 1.2 DSG from placing the order? I was told on ordering at the beginning of the month (July) with my local dealer "September/October". Is that the standard? Also - have waiting times improved or deteriorated over the 3 years Yetis have been around, or have they always been this long - or longer?
