Featured Replies

Hiya, just signed up as im looking for more info about the octavia VRS.

Reason being is im looking for a daily runner to replace the rover i currently own, ive looked at A3's golfs etc but quite like the look of the phase 1 octavia :)

will be having a mooch about the forums and a read of a few guides & projects

ooh just one other question, as the skoda basically uses the vw 1.8t lump what else is it based on in terms of chassis & suspension?

for example are other vag parts interchangable from say a bora or a passat? or would i need to buy skoda octavia specific?

Dan

Hello Dan and welcome along

I have some Audi wheels as my winters, they fit fine provided you get the right PDC

Hi alkip

thanks for the reply, im guessing the phase 1 octavia would be 5x100 PCD ? which is quite good in terms of wheels that could be fitted, Although i do like the look of the standard alloys :)

And in terms of lowering on springs/coilovers or dare i say it Air ride, is it skoda specific kit or do they share a similar set up to the VW's ?

reasons im asking is im not new to cars or modifications, my 'toy' is a little corsa with a calibra turbo lump fitted, low on wide wheels.

so im just after a comfortable daily with a few more mod cons, looking to keep it fairly standard but would like to build another air ride system

Wheels did change, I can't remember when but there's 112 and 100, just have a search in the relevant Octy forum when you decide what you're getting.

Can't help with the other stuff I'm afraid but sharing is economising which is what it's al about these days so it wouldn't surprise me at all. Hang about for some replies from more knowledgeable folk or go and have a search through the Octy forums
