anybody used sedox performance for a remap? i think they used to be pd tuning in boldon.

Looks like they've bought maps and equipment from elsewhere.

As always, I'd suggest to stick with a reputable VAG tuner.

Sedox is PDT tuning who did my old car......bit of a mixed bag feedback wise. The UKMKVs forum love PDT and Dave (owner) is really active on there, seems to give some good advice.

Also read some really bad feedback about PDT on the Audi forums.

The problem is you never know who to believe, I've done logs on my old TFSI PDT mapped car and the mapping is fine. Well within the spec

However it is not the highest yielding map making just under 240bhp

as someone running Shark stage 2 on my 2.0 TSI, I would wager you will see more than 255-260hp

I'm gonna be putting on a 3" turbo back system with decat no sports cat. So Im guessing stage 1 is fine with that as stage 2 would be too much on the standard intercooler. Sedox quoted £299 for stage 1 dyno tuned. I couldn't blag any motor trade discount lol.

You will need the map altered to remove the CEL if you have a decat fitted

Afraid not, was done today and dyno was 254bhp which is inline with my expectations but maybe a little lower than I'd hoped. Me thinks intercooler and cai maybe needed to go over the 260bhp barrier.

wow, surprised your results where that low, I would put money on mine is at least 270HP. what was your torque figure? do you have a graph

Hi,

Sorry to bring this old topic on, but I have question about sedox tuning.

Actually I want to know does anybody have experience with them, chip stage 1 on 1.8t?

I have AUM engine with k03s but 150hp. Stage one is 195hp with sedox.

Any thoughts?

It's not much help but there is a new apr dealer near peterlee if your based up north. I've just got the 6 hour free trial put on by Richard at his workshop. He's a VAG specialist. If your unsure if your gonna like the map then get the trial. My map is awesome and I'm hoping Santa will leave me a full map under the tree. Lol

Check www.goapr.co.uk for the map info and check www.richard-Martin.co.uk for the guy who does the remapping.

not the best, heard that he charges people for a revo when he uploads a custom file , had mine revo,d and couldnt feel any difference in performance , done some data logs and there was a problem somewhere but he couldnt tell me what was causing it. got me money back and will be goin elsewhere when funds allow , theres a place in boro called big fish tuning which are meant to be good

Hes become very popular on the 2.0TFSI engine on the Mk5GTI forum.

a freind of mine has just had his bmw 1series diesel remapped at sedox and he is very impressed with it, also know a few people who have had remaps with big fish in stokesley hes very popular on vagcars.co.uk.

Jabba are about the only one I havent heard a bad word against and if it wasnt for the 250 mile drive, I would have gone there.

Ron

I'm guessing 250 miles is to the main headquarters in Peterborough. You could have gone to MB Motorsport, who are the NE Jabba agent. I'm sure Heburn isn't that far away from Newcastle. Not too far away from Bolden either.

I've never been there, but just know the chap who runs it.

I know MB well, they do all the mechanical on my cars.....good guys

Only downside is that their OBD tuning gear won't do the latest TSI engines and so I ended up going to Shark in Mansfield as Jabba was too far away.

I have a big fish map. Can't recommend John enough, car pulls well and doesn't smoke or slip the clutch

Sedox as far as I'm aware is a bit of a brand.

It has allowed a few specialist tuners from around the world to work in conjunction with each other.

I.e i believe they share there work and experience between one another. Allowing them to have excellent tuning solutions and some of the best mapping on the market. Lots of videos on YouTube.
