Buyer's Guide

Featured Replies

I'm going to look at a used Fabia TDi on Sunday and wondered if there was a buyer's guide specifically for the Fabia? I've done a forum search but can't find anything.

Cheers

James

What is a buyers guide?

A guide for buyers.

Oh? You mean, walk into a showroom, test drive the car of your choosing, and pay the man behind the counter?

Sorry, 5.15 on a bank holiday Friday - like I'm going to be working!

I bought my tdi 1.9 elegance last november, all i can say is check the brakes well as these are not covered by most used car warrenties. I had to change all dics and pads on a 4 year old car that had only done 27000 miles (thats the problem i think not enough use). Apart fron that its been good as gold.

I had my TDI for four years and 53K miles. The thermostat for the glowplugs failed (light didn't go out) and was replaced under warranty. The electric window buttons swapped over (left->right) and then corrected themselves - a known quirk. Other than that, nothing to report. I got 36K miles out of the front tyres (Michelins) and it was doing 61+ mpg on a run when I traded it in.
