Nice. Needs tints to finish it

I like. The only reason i see people going black is for the sleathy look? Otherwise its just bloody boring, need some more lows

Looks great as above needs tints, ride height perfect, prefer the original grille, but coded and with the new badges front and rear

Love black wish I'd gone for it. Not sure about the new grill, would look better with colour coded oem grill surround IMO. Ride height perfect and doesn't need the new badges, the old ones look better.

Well you better order some old ones to put on your next car Jonno as they will have them

Won't be an issue for my next car :giggle:

Are these pics taken in Aberdeen? Look like skoda Aberdeen?

I'd like to see a thin silver rim (about 10mm wide) around those alloys though. It would just give it that little bit extra. I find black alloys agains black tyres just a bit too much.

Apart from that me likey

Black wheel shade is a bit much for me - too dark to see definition of the spokes, and where the wheel finishes and the tyre starts :)

Otherwise -

Love it, IMO it needs tints to finish it off, original grill painted black & whatever the red thing on the lower grill is, removed.

Absolute stunner

Not a Skoda ?

Not a Skoda ?

Unlikely I would say, after 3 Octy vRS's.

Lots of comments, mainly positive, thanks!

Black on black- Stealth and IMO it works!

Ride height – I like it, not too low and all important dealer fit and no impact on the warranty :)

Tints - not a big fan now that the front passenger windows cant be tinted, and I think on black it would be too much like a hearse...

Grille - Superskoda, currently unpainted but I plan to paint the whole thing body colour. The quality looks okay from the outside but during fitting a few issues were noted. Namely the large self taper split the plastic when I fitted it. Evidently the ID of the fixing was insufficient. I may paint the chrome original at some point but happy with the way it looks.

Red thing on the lower grille - that is a poppy.

Future alterations, I have a set of dectanes to fit when I get a moment, wing bars for the bikes, toying with laminx on the headlights/highlevel brake light/reflectors and I may debadge the rear Octavia/VRS badge...

EDIT: Not sure if I prefer the new badges. I certainly dont like the fact they have to be modified to fit. Big fan of 'bolt on' OEM plus style mods.

Looks sinister !!!

Maybe some Eyelids to sharpen the lines on the headlights?

Window tints, a must!

Definately agree with Jonno VRs about the badges. Saw them on a Citigo in my local showroom. I think they're a bit too plain now. Go back to the original green. having said that, apart from the brake's it would be the only bit of colour on your car so maybe the new one's would be better on your car.

Looks very nice and stealthy.

From a fellow all black like it a lot, imho need to colour code grill and tints to finish the look. haven,t lowered mine yet looking to, how much lower than standard are your springs

P.S hope you like cleaning :giggle:

Erm, why the poppy on the front? That's not meant to be worn til November...

Not a dig, just wondered...

They are not illegal to use tints on the front, as long as 75% of light passes through

To always remember someone who is no longer here.

"

The windows that matter

The law requires that the windows on the vehicle allow at least:

  • 75 per cent of light through the front windscreen
  • 70 per cent of light through the front side windows

In most modern vehicles there is a slight tint added to the windows when they are made. If you add any more tint it’s likely to result in the windows failing to meet the legal requirements.

The rules on tinted windows don’t apply to the rear windscreen or the rear passenger windows."

Cant be RSed with the hassle of it being questionable so I would rather go without...

Ta, according to Skoda "

These Eibach lowering springs lower the standard Octavia by 32mm and the Octavia vRS by 20m."

Personally I think it looks closer to 30mm?

Aww never answered my question lol

Yep, I would imagine there's around a 10% on them already, from the green tint usually used in the production of VAG vehicle glass.

I would agree, going to the trouble of applying a film for the sake of a further 15% (to allow some leeway with the legislation) simply isn't worth the bother and expense IMO.
