Ambrosia is Australian, it's Official

Sorry, but I did not choose for the fog lights to have this function on my Yeti, it comes like this from the factory. I have no means of switching this feature off unless I went to a dealer and asked him to disable it ( which I would have to pay for). And as more and more new cars have this function, which I personally find a benefit , i will not be. Thank You.

What a load of tosh.

Cars come with 'Front Fogs' & 'rear Fogs', you switch them on or off in the right circumstance, like you do 'driving lights'.

You use those Lights for Adverse Weather & poor Visibility conditions, you Switch them off as soon as not required, or you should.

There Inappropriate use is 'liable to get you Prosecuted, so you can say 'Not Illegal' or not 'Against the Highway Code' all you like.

That would be decided by a Police Officer and then possibly by a court, not your or the Car Manufacturers opinion.

Indeed, tosh.

You or your car maker's opinion?

No.

EU Type Approval. As has been mentioned MANY times above.

You think a UK court would attempt to try and overrule that in this case?

Your Fog lights, head lights, horn, Hazards are all type approved.

Inappropriate use of any off them is not EU Type approved.

You do not drive with your headlights at Full Beam at oncoming drivers, but they are Type Approved and can be on Full Beam.

Shine on silver moon.

An argument or debate is healthy, me being wrong is funny.

Lets see how you all react or what you think when you are driving along and see someone coming towards you or stopped with TW,AT lights on as well as Side & Dipped beam

and its a perfectly normal clear but dark night time.

All Skoda UK cars with AFS come with cornering light function ENABLED as default from the factory, and that includes the front fogs switching on when reverse is selected since this is part of AFS. My 2008 Superb Elegance when put in reverse the Front fogs lit up, never had any problems with this though in the 2 years I owned the car.

We know you dont like Fog lights on at innapropriate times..ie No Fog...I dont either!!

This is different AND legal

Why dont you accept that its a function that I and others like....others do not and it can be disabled by VCDS and some dealers

As said, it comes on some models enabled by the factory..others like mine..disabled

I had mine enabled, because I like it

I really dont give a blind toss if you dont like them, think they are illegal or any other opinion you may have of them

So..accept that its a legal and now a normal car function and get over it

Good riddance!!!

Jam doughnut? ;)

This thread has obviously run its course now, so I am closing it now before it turns into an argument.
