Jorily?!

Featured Replies

Hi all what is happening with jorily? I can't get through to him on the phone and his sight is always down!

Maybe they expanded too quickly? Last time I spoke to Graham, he said they were moving to much bigger premises? Some people on here found Jorily amazing but if enough folks had the same experiences as me. They wouldn't have got enough of the repeat business that's essential in these tough economic times.

They did over expand and branched into too many areas I think. He is now back up and running as Skoda Autodily concentrating on RWD, Favorit and Felicia stuff....but he seems to be on holiday at the moment.

That was half the problem to be honest. Even when he wasn't he may as

well have been for how often he took a call. I've never known a business to tell you

what days you are ok to call them on :o Unusual business strategy.

Believe me, I'll take a job on if a call comes in even if I'm on the toilet at the time.

:giggle: If you deal with customers that well you will certainly end up flush!

I know where you're coming from.....I once rang my friendly (and much richer for meeting me!) Alpine Renault specialist David Gentleman to query something, to find he was on top of the Empire State building in New York.....that call cost me a few quid!

Explains why I had to call him back over invoices ;) Sadly never got through will try this new knowledge.

I now actually think he has disappeared altogether. I boguht various items from him as Autodily and got them but I overpaid for something I didnt need and cant get in touch. he has been offline for about 3-4 weeks now. He was quite ill apparently.....not sure what is happening, but the consensus on the main Skoda forum is that we won't be seeing him again for a while. He owes a few people money.

Someone will have to pop by and ask in person?

A loss for the older owners amongst us in my opinion.

His son has confirmed he is indeed ill and the business is no longer operating. Very sad and likely to make the whole old Skoda ownership more difficult when it comes to part sourcing.

A friend of mine vaguely mooted buying up a lot of older stock parts for Felicia, Favorit and the Estelles.

But with the tales of woe on the forums and the way people always seem to want their stuff yesterday when they've ordered it and then complain to the world if it needs ordering from Czech, or it takes a few days to come has put him right off the idea!

There are other people with old stock parts and indeed a great supplier in Germany, and two others in Czech Republic but of course this means parts need posting which can take a week or more to arrive.

I think a lot of the problem was not people with unrealistic delivery dates but more that Graham would say he could get something in a couple of weeks when he actually meant a couple of months. I spent a lot of money with him over the years and sometimes things would turn up very quickly and sometimes they would take weeks and weeks. Postage from CZ is actually really good, the problem came with larger items where he hired a shipping pallet and only got it sent through when it was full. That could be a month in quieter times. I for one will miss him because he never failed to get me anything I asked for....

Cheers for that. I am glad you say you've had reasonable results with the CZ post. I ordered a small jiffybags worth of old pin badges via ebay several weeks ago and it took just on a fortnight to come, so I wasn't too impressed when I also had packages from Germany and Netherlands that came within 3 or 4 days around the same time. I appreciate what you say about delivery dates and it is obviously crucial to be honest about that kind of thing.

I suspect that often if a supplier can only get one of something from CZ and quotes weeks rather than days then the prospective purchaser will try another supplier in the hope of quicker delivery ;)

It is a shame about Jorily though.
