Was reading this forum for quite a while, as I was considering getting Skoda. Being originally from Slovakia my heart was never far from Skodas

So I decided to go for Octavia vRS Estate. Dealer offered me one which is already manufactured so I have to wait only about three weeks for it to be delivered. I am getting very excited now as it is my first car. It'll be anthrazit grey with few extras.

While I am writing here I do have one question. Is the 3spoke steering wheel as a standard? Because I took for granted that it is. Two which I test drove had 3spoke one and all the pictures on the net are with 3spoke steering wheels. Only now I noticed in brochure that it looks like optional extra yet I haven't seen 4spoke in vRS.

Thats about it Looking forward to spending time on this forum.....I'll add pictures as soon as I get the car

I think the 3 spoke is standard on the vRS. Looks miles better in my opinion.

Update on the car: car is with dealer now....just waiting till september for new plates. Every day seems like forever now

Short update. Just came off the phone with my Skoda dealer. Car should be ready soon. Gave me to options...pick it up on 3rd Monday or if I cant wait, I can come and get it 30th of August at midnight I don't think I'll be able to wait over the weekend...so looks like I'll pay midnight visit to the dealership

Yep go get it, there's no feeling like driving off at 00:01 in your new car

All the paper work is now done and now just wait for friday night, when I am going to pick up this beauty. Should be one of the last Anthrazit grey ones. New orders should be now available in Steel grey which is slightly lighter in colour.

Very nice, mate has the saloon Dsg diesel vRS , and welcome! , The facelift steering wheel nowhere near as as nice as the pre fl and is not unique, they even fit it to a Yeti!, minus the vRS logo http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/213699-sold-3-spoke-sports-steering-wheel-with-multi-function/

I didn't like the look of the FL steering wheel but it felt very nice in hands during test drive and the look of it is slowly growing on me. Thank you for welcome.

So my Grey beauty is at home now. I am still buzzing from excitement. Went to bed 3am and I am already awake (that is very unusual for me ) . I had a nice surprise when I found out my car has Amundsen unit instead of Bolero. Other than that everything is as I expected. I am in love with my xenon headlights I dont think I will get ever bored watching themselves setting up

Was in Penalt in Monmouthshire 3 weeks ago, popped down to Cardiff as well, also met up with Stever 750 if it was now we could have had a mini meet
