Mont blanc Roof bar fitting advice

Featured Replies

Hi all, need help, I have a twindoor Superb2 and I am looking at help with fitting my Mont Blanc roof bars and I can't find any info in the hand book or anywhere, the bars are the ones I had for my old Superb1, according to Mont Blanc's website and all the Mont Blanc suppliers they fit both cars with the same fitting foot kit.

On my old Superb they clamped around the roof and there were 2 arrows at each anchor point that you had to fit them between, simples, On the new Superb2 there is a hole that I presume is designed for a pin to fit in but on my fitting kit there are no pins yet Mont Blanc claim it to be the right kit, there are no arrows to designate the fixing area as with the old Superb and as the fixing kit is flat and the locking holes are slightly raised I dont think fitting over the hole would be a good idea.

Has anyone fitted this style roof bar foot kit and if so where abouts did they clamp them around the roof, I was thinking as close to the fixing hole but not on them? does this sound OK?

Cheers all

Here is a link to the Mont Blanc web site. http://www.montblanc...om/en/roof-bars#

Select make and model,

Choose the bars you've got, click on "more info", then on "details". There should be a .pdf to download the fitting instructions which do have specific info for the Superb 2. They refer to a pin or screw and a rubber strip to be fitted. If parts are missing suggest you contact Mont Blanc

Hope this helps
