Rear Suspension - Lowering on coilovers

Featured Replies

Ive lowered my car recently quie a way and its made the ride quite bouncy. I expected this however id like to rectify it.

The front is lwoered on Weitecs and wound down to about 5 threads from the bottom. The front is pretty firm so is fine.

The rears however are on a seperate damper and spring with an adjuster cup under it. These are also wound down to near the bottom but the back has now become very bouncy.

Would a stiffer damper fix things or would it be better to look in to different springs? Alternatively could i buy a full coilover kit for the rear where the spring and damper are one unit? maybe from a golf?

Thanks

Golf rear wouldn't be a good idea as golfs are lighter on the back end

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

possibly get your dampers shortened onbthebrear to put them back.into a height where they work

Would a stiffer rear set up not be better? I may remove the adjuster cups from the rear to drop it a few more mill but put some strength in to it

Going to low does affect the ride quality and make it bouncy, it's something you'll have to live with if you want it low :)

Oh I know that just thought there would be a way to stiffen it a bit
