  • Just mount it on top of the engine with great big mahosive bonnet scoop!!! Lol.

  • Count me in for a trip guys..... love the look of that G.....any DIY on the headlight tinting looks cool

Well I have just gone for a bam conversion and to keep lag minimal I have gone for a smaller Intercooler 818C2A05-06F0-4828-AB8F-40A37D1C5E19-3433-000004DD527DEB87.jpg

And I'm going for a lcr style routing system

The pipe you can see there is the basic route I will be taking and hopefully if I can get away with it that pipe will be welded so it's a 1 piece item with only a silicone pipe to attach it to the turbo and Intercooler, I'm also running 2.1/4 inch pipe to try and keep psi as high at the inlet as possible, however this isn't the route I will be taking to start with as it will be going into the standard piping for the time being until I find someone I trust to weld the pipes for me!

No not a biggy gee lol

Tried and tested i know Whats better many hours testing them and speaking with engineers from forge and pro alloy etc etc ;-)

Twin pass is good for ease of fitting as said before

Just mount it on top of the engine with great big mahosive bonnet scoop!!! Lol.

Ok is it worth heat wrapping the rear boost pipe off the turbo?

Gee organise a pud lunch oné weekend i will come up got a few things you Might be interested in ;-)

i fitted a Twin pass intercooler. Less pipework = less lag. all custom, just gotta fiddle. lol

Well I ordered my front mount intercooler kit this morning off eBay,it comes with a small intercooler, but will probably be better suitedto the ko3s as its not really a big turbo, was on vw vortex getting some ideas for intercoolers, size of cores, pipework etc,few guys over there running gt35 turbos, now that is a big turbo :-)

What did you do about the map sensor with this? Lookin at getting one myself.

had to give Forge some money im afraid for the map sensor pipe. £30 rip off!!

The kit im getting comes with the map sensor pipe, item number on ebay is 110737045444,says in description what you see is what you get and it shows a pipe for a map sensor.

So would that kit fit on a VRS 170cr? I.e all the pipe work be the right size?

No the kit will only fit a mk1 octavia with a 1.8t engine,im sure the mk2 octavias have a front mount intercooler as standard,a lot of people upgrade to a s3 one i think, dont quote me on that tho.

Yeah that's what I paid for it,got toyo sports on the boxes, has got the pipe for the map sensor, also has the pipe with a take off for the n75 valve and recirculation valve,so don't have to mess about, just hope the pipework goes together ok.

What size is the map sensor hole?

Not sure what size it is,but kit is listed for Octavia vrs.

i think its 12mm..

For ease of fitting i went for a SMIC and even in the few hot days we have had i have not seen a drop off in boost. uses standard pipework and means no lag.
