'Clicky' clutch pedal

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Just recently I've noticed a 'clicking' noise when I engage the clutch and the same noise again on releasing the pedal.

Any ideas on what this might be and any solutions on curing it?

I have this too, got it after my clutch was changed, nothing to worry about, my mechanic said its something to do with two bits of plastic clicking??

Ah right ok, tho I've not had to change my clutch yet with over 100,000 miles done! Just the clicking noise is annoying. If it's nothing serious(or building to something serious) I can live with it!

any ideas?

I also started getting this recently and it's bugging me too I don't think my clutch has been changed yet either and I'm at 120k so I'm thinking the clutch could be going , as a release the clutch sometimes too they's a cracking sound that sounds like its coming from the engine , don't know whether this is because I have a remap .So if you find out let me no too please . But your right it's annoying.

dont think it affected fabias but i had this in my 2000 plate ibiza (first car) and a few months later the pedal box snapped on me ball ache of a job to get it fixed. as i said though i doubt it affected fabias as it was apparently restricted to ibizas, polos and the felicia but you never know

its not something designed to turn off cruise control ? my pug was quite when cruise was disengaged
