VRS exhaust problems

Featured Replies

My 2003 VRS exhaust is blowing between the turbo and the manifold. I have tightened the bolts up as tight as possible, and have even gone as far as replacing the spring washers as it keeps blowing. No idea why, but the bolts work loose and it sounds horrendous on startup.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the bolts, washers and gasket? I will get them from VW as its 25 miles nearer than Skoda if possible.

Can anyone tell me the turbo model on my VRS - K03 or K03s i think are the choices i have heard of, and will the part numbers tally for VW and Skoda?

Anyone got any ideas why this keeps happening, as i am fed up with tightening the bolts every week, and even doing this doesnt totally sort it anymore, so i suspect the gasket is shot.

Thanks.

Yours is a K03S, it will keep blowing as the gasket will be split now. Any leak causes a hot spot and the gasket blows out.

Thanks. Any idea if it would be the same turbo on a Golf Gti? VW will order parts and will save me hours in travel if so

Yes it will be.

Cool. Trip to VW in the morning then. Thanks.
