Haven't been in there for a while. Last time I went it was just downstairs. They must have quite some stock now then!

Popped there today as I needed a large cutting pad ready for Friday ;) I didn't go up stairs, it's changed a fair bit in there loads more stock, I wanted to spend a fortune but I just came away with cutting pad as I've spent a fortune ordering everything online :D

Well an update on the car I've had it back! Well I had it back last night but had to pop back today to sort out a pesky seized rear caliper, turns out one of the octavia VRS calipers I purchased off here was pretty much knackered (needs rebuild). Anyway thanks to Joe for saving the day with his bargain pair for £10! Luckily the dodgy one of his wasn't the one I needed and the other was in perfect working order! Just needs painting which I will do tomorrow evening.

Turbo wise it's now back running a hybrid pd150 without a billet wheel for now until the manifold on the GTB kit is sorted.

Really cannot thank Dean and Karl at Dirty Torque enough, they have worked hours and hours on my car to try and get it all sorted and get me back on the road!

Will be getting the tyres fitted to my new wheels tomorrow just in time for castle combe! Bring on the track time! :)

All ready for tomorrow's polishing session!!

Immense beading!!! :)

Looks great on the spiders that low!! :)

I know they've been done to death but when they look that good you can see why everyone wants them. Looks really smart, I want some spiders now :(

I was wondering whos this was completely forgot you put spiders on lol. Looked real good mate.

I like the fact that they have flared looking arches, looks chunky.

Could have stood there all night to watch that bead! Still looking clean even after the long drive.

Thanks again for all your hard work Alex :)

Thanks for the pics Jay, was good to meet you, gutted about your car I'm sure it will be an easy fox though!

Thanks for the comments guys, in extremely happy with the way it's sitting on the spiders now, and even better is that it doesn't scrape down my girlfriends drive anymore so will leave it at that height :)

Thanks Joe, didn't know you were at Combe!

No worries mate, food to finally meet you too! Sorry I didn't hang round, decided to make to the most of not joining you on track to get some snaps of you lot that did :)

I'm hoping it's a quick fix, although joshH point out some blue some and had to limp her back to my mechanic :(

Your pics are pretty decent mate. I could have done with that turbo yesterday though! The extra power would have been useful ;)

Hmm let me know the outcome of what's wrong with it :)

Thanks dude. Hoping to make September, chomping at the bit :)

Yeah will do. I'm sure it's nothing that bad.

Yer but not in my car I had a bloody puncture when I got to my mates in the morning so jumped in my other mates modified vw Touran, you may of seen it black one slammed on 19" bbs reps.

Great job on the detailing Alex,finish was mint at 3.50am before we set off in the rain!!! :)

Must agree on the spiders,look spot on  B)

The spacers Dan's running make them sit spot on in the arch ;)

Didn't see that one Joe, was loads of cars there! The lay out was a bit crap though was a right nightmare fighting to get through the crowds and oncoming traffic!

Thanks Kev, I think maybe slightly bigger spacers on the front!

Ordered new front discs and pads using next day delivery, the track time yesterday means they're now metal on metal on the passenger side!

Yeah your brakes were a mess!!!

Nicely discoloured calipers showed the heat they had been seeing!

Could have stood there all night to watch that bead! Still looking clean even after the long drive.

Thanks again for all your hard work Alex :)

No worries mate - was just as satisfying to me to do yours! Besides.... I got paid with chicken and burgers ha ha! It looks immense in the pictures! You now need to do some proper picture whoring though ;)

Finally managed to get photobucket sorted!

This is what the Combe session did to my brakes!

So I ordered new discs and pads and got them fitted yesterday :)

Please ignore the grubby calipers, they got so hot on the track that it turned the paint black :(

Also sorted out the cold air feed once and for all, hopefully won't fall off anymore!!

The day before Combe Alex_e3 came down and we set about machine polishing the car! Was had aimed to do both cars but that was ambitious and mine ended up taking 14 hours!

I managed to get it all washed, de-iron, de-tar'd and clayed the evening before working on into the darkness!

The products used

DAS-6 Pro dual-action polisher;

Menzerna Power Finish PF2300 with green heavy polishing pad;

Menzerna Final Finish FF4500 with black finishing pad;

Chemical Guys EZ Glaze with blue glaze pad;

Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection;

Collinite 476S Wax.

Paintwork has come up awesome, really pleased and it just seems to stay clean! Was in work this evening and had 3 comments off customers (who I knew) about how clean the car was looking.

Some of you will spot the new exhaust, it's a Piper non silenced cat back with 6x4 oval tail pipe should sound decent once the big turbo is fitted. Also 256mm vented rear brakes are now fitted. Still got the momo steering wheel to go on soon but really hoping that I'll be running GTB soon enough!
