ASR (Traction Controll) Vibration issues...

I left my car (2005 vrs fab) stood for most of a week as i work away at the moment, when the wife went to use it it made some horrible rattle/vibration on startup. I`ve never noticed before but it also revs to 1500 and then settles (I assume this is normal?), its during this rpm rise the rattle occurs. The ASR (traction controll) light has also activated and remains on from ignition to startup and while driving. My engine management light was continually on because of a diesel temperature sender that has yet to be replaced.

the only work carried out on it recently is an engine oil and filter change.

Has anyone had any of these issues before?
