If you do have to claim from your insurance, at least your dashcam would provide excellent footage of the event and hopefully show them that it was an unavoidable event and also that you werern't concocting a story.  However, apart from being a no-fault claim (perhaps?) I don't think this would help money-wise because a claim would still be a claim.  I hope you can come up with something that doesn't cost you too much money.  Apart from the wing, the visual look of your car is OK.  Maybe you could 'persuade' the wing back into reasonable shape so that there are no sharp edges at the front so that you can still keep driving your car legally?  Unfortunately it's too new a car to have a cheap, bodged repair done as a permanent solution.  Have you had an estimate done, courtesy of a good repair specialist yet?

Wash and wax last night :)

Autolight, W8 light and other projects coming up.

Had an idea for my front (possibly back too) logo on the car, thinking it might be achievable with plasti dip and touch up paint :) it'll help with my plans for my car in the future

Looks a bit like the Thundercats logo with a quick glance in those colours!

Its still a fault claim. last winter I was IN BED (car on drive) when the storm knocked a roof slate off that went through the rear spoiler and into the metal of the boot (on my vRS) and its STILL a fault claim of £1,000 against my insurance on my record :(

As I had my full set of Auriga's sat here I figured I may as well fit them to see how they look, really love the black on black look...

looks good :) but needs lowering ;)

looks good :) but needs lowering ;)

Primarily going to be used for taking the newborn places, I've already taken a small hit in comfort moving from the 14" steelies to these, I don't think I can justify yet another by sticking Eibachs on it.

It is uncomfortable with eibachs on... more uncomfy than my vRS! lol...

The 15,s on my Sport with the suspension is very comfy compared to the 17,s on my Octavia.

I believe the sport is lower than standard, but the eibachs are "uprate spring rates" ... and lower still.... beleive me ours is harder than my vRS with eibachs, and RARB...(fabia II)

Why could they not put some class of a cover over the led array to make them look less..... bodged???

like the frosted case on some of those domestic CFL low energy bulbs? look like an old fashioned light bulb at least!!!

No idea, but I'm happy with them, it looked horrible with the standard drl and upgraded headlights and these will hopefully last longer than the mtecs I had in beforehand

Snap!! :notme:

They've been fitted for nearly 14 months but I've only covered 1,850 miles.

Great work there Hyphons and all by your own fair hand.

How much (apart from the sweat and skinned knuckles) do you think that deer has cost you so far?

Do you believe that the clash with the animal also caused the cracked windscreen?

It's possible but who knows, so far costs have totalled £238 (if you include the windscreen replacement)
